On April 12, the governor of the Tver region Igor Rudenya held a working meeting on the implementation of investment projects in the Tver region.
The main topic of discussion was the project to create a zone of commercial activity “Morozovsky Gorodok”. The master plan of the concept was presented by a potential investor.
The project provides for the revitalization of the territory of the historical and architectural complex Morozovskiy Gorodok, which includes more than 50 residential, public and industrial buildings. Many of them are unique architectural objects. The town of Morozovsky is one of the most interesting industrial complexes of central Russia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The territory of the city of Morozovsky is suitable for the development of residential infrastructure and the creation of a tourist center. This aspect is taken as the basis of the concept.
In addition, it is planned to place hotels, offices, educational, health, sports and cultural facilities. It is planned to reconstruct the road and engineering infrastructure, improve parks and adjacent territories, the embankment of the Tmaka River, create parking lots and parking spaces, and provide the campus with public transport.
During the implementation of the project, the historical appearance of the complex will be preserved. Houses belonging to cultural heritage sites will be restored. The construction of new facilities is planned on currently unused sites or in industrial areas. The concept foresees only low-rise buildings.
The first stage of the implementation of a historic project for Tver is being completed – the resettlement of residents of the city. The handing over of keys to citizens whose homes have been included in the renovation program began last year. Until May this year, the resettlement of citizens will be completed. Residents move into modern 10-storey buildings on Frunze Street. In total, new apartments are planned for 451 families. The total resettlement area is more than 17,000 square meters. meters.
The appearance of the town of Morozovsky is connected with the history of the “Association of the Tver Paper Factory”. The district had its main development under the leadership of the famous merchant dynasty Morozov, when factories, barracks for workers and red brick outbuildings were built.
