In Kaliningrad, a repeat offender repaid a friend’s help by stealing money

In Kaliningrad, a 25-year-old, previously convicted Baltiysk resident repaid a friend’s help by stealing money from him. Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Central District established the involvement of the perpetrator in two episodes of theft.

The total amount stolen was 12,000 rubles. This was reported by the official website of the department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kaliningrad region.

The investigation established that the young man asked to live with a friend on Vernadsky Street. One day, a guest took the owner’s phone and, when he couldn’t see it, transferred 9,000 rubles to a third-party card using a mobile app. After some time, he stole 3,000 rubles in the same way.

The actions of the attacker qualify as bank account theft. He faces up to 6 years in prison.

Earlier, The Eastern Herald in Kaliningrad reported that in Kaliningrad, police stopped an attempt to sell a large shipment of drugs.
