In the city of Nizhny Tagil, the police arrested a woman suspected of attempted drug trafficking. She pretended to be a young mother, hiding a cat and mephedrone in her baby overalls. On this subject reported on the MIA Media website.
The suspect lives in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. She arrived in Nizhny Tagil near Sverdlovsk, having received a task from her “employer” by courier. He told her where the cache of a large shipment of drugs was. The woman was supposed to pack the drugs in small batches and spread them out like “bookmarks”.
The Interior Ministry reports that the suspected pawnbroker was caught red-handed near a holiday village on the outskirts of Nizhny Tagil.
“To avoid suspicion, she portrayed a mother walking around with an underage girl and a baby. However, in the insulating clothes for newborns, which the extra carried in her hands, there was a domestic cat. Officers also removed five packets of white powder from the suit, which turned out to be N-methylephedron,” Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said.
Officers also found 12 bookmarks. In the apartment rented by the woman, electronic scales, packaging materials, plastic containers and packages containing prohibited substances were seized. The total weight of the drug was about 170 g. The suspect has been arrested.
Earlier, Australian scientists experimentally proved that cats can be used by forensic scientists to solve crimes – animal hair has long contained the DNA of people who were near them.
