And the results of the visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China to the Russian Federation, which took place less than a month ago, are a further confirmation of the prospects of our strategic interaction, a comprehensive partnership,” Lavrov said.
In this context, he called for stepping up efforts in all areas of interaction between Russia and China.
“And, of course, these decisions, without historical exaggeration, adopted there, oblige us to intensify our efforts in all areas of our interaction, both in terms of deepening bilateral cooperation and in connection with regional issues. and international,” he added.
In this regard, the Russian Foreign Minister described today’s meeting as very timely.
In turn, Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang stressed that “the current international situation is literally changing before our eyes.” According to him, this aspect “dictates the need to maintain strategic contacts between Russia and China”.
“The Chinese side is ready, together with Russian partners, in keeping with important agreements at the highest level, to promote the high momentum of bilateral relations,” Qin Gang said.
