Pakistan warns, will attack terrorists’ hideouts in Afghanistan

islamabad Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has warned the Afghan Taliban that if the rulers in Kabul are unable to rein in the anti-Pakistan terrorists, Islamabad will attack the terrorists’ hideouts inside the country.

According to the report, Asif in a recent interview with media during his end-February visit to Afghanistan reminded Taliban leaders to live up to their cross-border security commitments, to prevent terrorists from planning and conducting attacks on Pakistan. To prevent using the soil of Afghanistan. If this is not done, Islamabad will take action. He said that if this is not done, then at some point we will have to resort to some measures, which of course, we will have to kill the terrorists wherever they are located on Afghan soil. Further said that we have to kill them as we cannot tolerate this situation for long. Since the Afghan Taliban’s capture of Kabul in August 2021, Pakistan has seen a resurgence in terrorist attacks led by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, an ally of the Afghan Taliban.

Pakistan alleges that the TTP leadership is operating from Afghanistan after Pakistani military operations in the border areas a few years ago, which forced it to flee along with thousands of fighters. Asif claimed that the Taliban leadership responded very well to the recent warning. He said he believes the Afghan Taliban is trying to “break away” from the TTP, after receiving support from the group to fight US-led coalition forces. Pakistan’s military is now considering a comprehensive plan, including a possible military operation in areas bordering Afghanistan. Asif said the economic crisis is the biggest threat facing the country at the moment, and the military, which receives the largest share of the annual federal budget, is looking to reduce its spending.
