Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said businessmen from hostile states are showing interest in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). At the same time, the official representative of the Kremlin did not name specific businessmen from these countries who plan to come to SPIEF, because there is a risk that they will be “eaten alive” abroad.
“Even if they are, we can’t talk about it, because if we talk about it, they will just be eaten alive. Nevertheless, many representatives of companies from hostile countries are showing great interest,” Peskov said, as quoted by TASS.
Earlier, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Vice President Sergey Krasilnikov told how Western businessmen “dressed up” at SPIEF 2022. Last year, the International Economic Forum of St. Petersburg was held in the northern capital from June 15 to 18.
