Assistant to Russian President Vladimir Medinsky said that Russia has no conflict with the Ukrainians, reports RBC.
Medinsky also spoke of his “great love” for Ukraine, and what is happening in the country, he says, is a conflict of traditional colonialists.
According to Medinsky, they “built thriving colonial empires for centuries” with territory that did not want to become a colony. At the same time, he did not specify who exactly he considers to be the colonialists in this conflict.
“I don’t feel any hatred for the Ukrainian people and for Ukraine. I deeply love the Ukrainian people. And I have a great love for this land, its history and its heroic past,” he said.
The presidential aide also stressed that Ukraine is an integral part of the Russian world.
Earlier, Russian Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov announced that a new history textbook with a section on military special operations would be ready for the next school year for high school students.
