Residents of Vladimir gave 200 million rubles to scammers

For 3 months in 2023, residents of the Vladimir region handed over 200 million rubles into the hands of crooks. Giant amount. The police registered 914 cases of thefts, which were committed by telephone or via the Internet.

During the first ten days of April, the police have already recorded 50 such crimes.

Vladimirtsev is again urged to be less gullible and beware of unexpected calls, including to the landline, if they come from strangers who, pretending to be bank employees, report

on suspicious card transactions, loans and other situations in the financial sector.

If you receive calls requesting the transfer of funds, you should immediately stop communicating, not carry out money transfer operations and contact the police by telephone: 02, 102, 112.
