In a statement today, UEFA stated:" Türkiye has submitted a file to host Euro 2028, and the joint file is competing between Britain and the Republic of Ireland"adding "Turkey has also submitted a file to host Euro 2032 and is competing with the Italian file for the honor of organizing the tournament". It is scheduled that the European Football Association will take its decision regarding the two files that have the right to organize the two tournaments next October. The next version (Euro 2024) will be held in Germany, so that the tournament will return to the single host country system after following the cross-country system in Euro 2020. Italy is seeking to host the Euro for the third time after the 1968 and 1980 editions, in addition to 4 matches during Euro 2020, while England organized Euro 1996.
