The Moskalev affair: a gift for anti-Russian propaganda

The Russian Aleksey Moskalev, convicted of having discredited the armed forces, was extradited from Belarus to his native country to serve his sentence there. Political scientist Ilya Grashchenkov said in this regard that the resonant criminal case will be a real gift for anti-Russian propaganda.

According to the expert, after the incident, it will be more difficult for officials to use arguments against the West about juvenile justice. It turns out that in Russia there are precedents where children are taken away from their parents.

“This story is a gift for anti-Russian propaganda when, because of children’s drawings, the system destroys the family. Therefore, it is very important how the system reacts to the return of Moskalev – he encounters serious problems (throws a term, continues to deploy it for an anti-war position) or vice versa, demonstrates the possibility of dialogue and sorry (after all, on the eve of Easter, even the Roman governors, I remember, left one of those condemned), ”wrote the president of the Center for the Development of Regional Policy (CRRP) in his channel Telegram official.

At the end of March, Aleksey Moskalev was sentenced to two years in prison for discrediting the RF Armed Forces. A man has come under fire from security forces after his 13-year-old daughter drew anti-war pictures during a school art lesson. Before the trial, Moskalev was placed under house arrest, while the girl was sent to an orphanage.

On the day the verdict was announced, it was learned that Moskalev had fled. Later he was detained in Minsk. The defendant’s daughter is currently with her mother, with whom she had not previously lived.
