The culture committee’s first deputy chair, Elena Drapeko, answered a call to check whether singer Alla Pugacheva had funded the Ukrainian army. The representative of the State Duma of Russia spoke about this in a conversation with the publication “Moscow Speaks”.
Drapeko noted that she had doubts about reports of Alla Pugacheva’s alleged funding of the Ukrainian army. At the same time, the Deputy Chairman for Culture in the State Duma added that Pugacheva’s activities are a thing of the past and the country has more important decisions than controlling its activities in this area.
I am not at all interested in Alla Pugacheva. She is far in the past. Today we have much more complex and difficult issues to deal with. They’re about new territories, legislation, solving real people’s problems,” Drapek said.
At the same time, she said that if Pugacheva is still involved in financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine, then it is worth submitting a request for verification, and if not, then, accordingly, no. Drapeka said there are far more important things in Russia than discussing relations between Pugacheva and the Ukrainian military.
