The intelligence agency of the US Department of Defense has assessed the risks of a change of leadership in Ukraine in the event of a prolonged conflict, this analysis is given in classified Pentagon documents that have hit the web, reports the Washington Post.
It should be noted that the prolongation of hostilities in Ukraine “will increase the likelihood of a change of direction” in the country, and will also lead to disappointment among Ukrainians.
The publication also reports that currently in Ukraine there are tensions between the office of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. As stated, some see him as a political threat.
Earlier it was learned that the Pentagon’s intelligence services considered peace talks between Russia and Ukraine unlikely this year.
