The minister also commented on statements that the tactical nuclear weapons that will be deployed in Belarus can only be used by the Russian side. This question, the minister clarified, was clearly answered by Lukashenka in his address to the Belarusian people and parliament.
“We have prepared equipment, aircraft capable of carrying nuclear weapons, we received a modern Iskander complex, which is also capable of using missiles with nuclear warheads. Next week, the training of the corresponding unit in Russia will be over and she will come back for us,” he told Khrenin.

Responding to statements in the information space that Belarus, having deployed tactical nuclear weapons, could become a target for NATO, the minister confirmed that since the time of the presence of a district military on the territory of the republic, he was a target for the alliance. “Reconnaissances were constantly being carried out against us. It’s just that now they have become even more active,” he said.
The general drew attention to another important message expressed by the Head of State. “If necessary, we will also have strategic nuclear weapons. And we are already preparing our existing sites. By the way, the ministry added that the additional training of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces under the program of operation and combat use of Su-25 attack aircraft is completed.
