Chinese Defense Ministry chief Li Shangfu will arrive in Russia for an official visit from April 16 to 19, reports Tan Kefei, an official representative of the department.
It is specified that Li Shangfu will visit Russia at the invitation of the country’s Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu.
“Chinese Defense Minister Li Shangfu will pay an official visit to Russia from April 16 to 19,” the spokesperson said on social media WeChat.
During the visit, he will meet with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces and visit Russian military educational institutions.
Earlier, Chinese President Xi Jinping told the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) military of the need to step up preparations for real hostilities.
