“Without victories, sooner or later questions will arise whether it is worth continuing to support Ukraine. The success of this offensive operation is essential,” Budanov said.
Budanov also expressed his belief that a successful counter-offensive is no longer just a goal for Ukraine itself. According to him, it is also necessary for Western states.
Earlier, Joint Force Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Serhiy Naev said that Kiev was planning an offensive, but the timing was kept secret.
