In Smolensk, passports were handed over to arriving citizens of the DPR

In Smolensk, at the Migration Department of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, another solemn ceremony of handing over passports to arriving citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic was held.

So, four people received Russian citizenship, having taken an oath to abide by the laws and Constitution of the Russian Federation, as well as to fulfill the duties of a citizen. Police officers presented new citizens of the Russian Federation with passports and copies of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

It should be noted that those present received citizenship in a simplified way. In addition, employees of the migration service advised and helped them in preparing the documents.

At the end of the event, the police congratulated the new Russian citizens on an important event and stressed the importance of careful handling of passports.
