The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, reacted to statements by the US State Department. The State Department has notably threatened to toughen sanctions against the country if Maduro does not “move forward” in the political dialogue with the opposition.
Maduro told the State Department to “go to hell”. The President of Venezuela made such an appeal on the airwaves of Venezolana de Televisión, whose words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“The representative of Gringo threatened Venezuela that if Venezuela did not move forward in political dialogue with the gangsters, corruption and door-to-door business sector of the unitary platform, it would retaliate and impose sanctions against our country. I suggest that this representative of the gringo go to hell, because Venezuela is respected,” Maduro said.
Earlier, Cuban leader Diaz-Canel accused the United States of creating conflict in Ukraine. He pointed out that it was the United States that was inciting Russophobia and noted that the Americans blamed Russia for the conflict.
