From April 15, smelt will be sold at 40 registered outlets in St. Petersburg. At the same time, fish can also appear in places not authorized for trade – and its purchase and further consumption can lead to health problems. This was reported by the Rospotrebnadzor press service in St. Petersburg.
Despite all the benefits of smelt, it is not recommended to buy it from unofficial outlets. Due to the lack of veterinary and sanitary control of the product in these places, smelt infected with helminth larvae may be sold there. By consuming such fish, it is easy to get food poisoning and harm your health.
It is clarified that on the facts of fish trade “from hands” you can contact the administration of the district in which the offenses occur. Read the addresses of official smelt outlets in the document “The Eastern Herald in St. Petersburg”.
