The Russian businessman appealed to the State Duma of the Russian Federation with a request to prepare a bill that would allow the termination of the governor’s powers when at least 10% of the signatures of voters are collected. Moreover, according to Prigozhin, elections should follow. We are talking in particular about the leader of Saint Petersburg, Alexander Beglov.

The press center of the Russian entrepreneur Yevgeny Prigozhin distributed a document with his signature with requests addressed to the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin. The businessman cites information about the sad situation in St. Petersburg due to the actions of the current governor Alexander Beglov.

“The criticism of the population is caused by the annual lack of cleaning of the city in winter, the economically unjustified increases in contributions for major repairs and housing and communal services, the lack of development of the metro, the lack of maintenance adequate cultural heritage sites and other buildings,” Prigozhin said in a statement.

At the end of the message, the entrepreneur asks Volodin to consider the draft law amending Federal Law No. 414, namely to approve the procedure for removing the powers of the heads of regions or, in the case of Beglov, cities of federal importance, if there are at least 10% of dissatisfied voters. Prigozhin offers to prove his outrage by collecting signatures and recalls that there are about four million voters in St. Petersburg.

Also, earlier Prigozhin voiced demands to Beglov after Smolny refused to place an advertisement for the private military company Wagner in St. Petersburg. The entrepreneur turned to the governor, saying: “Comrade Beglov, open your eyes, bitch, and make a decision: are you for Mother Russia or are you against her.”
