The head of the German Defense Ministry has denied Macron’s comments about Germany’s vassal dependence on the United States

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius reacted critically to French President Emmanuel Macron’s remarks that Germany was a vassal of the United States. The German character noted that Germany was never dependent on America.
