The Prosecutor General’s Office of Belarus has granted Russian woman Sofya Sapega’s request to transfer her to Russia to serve her sentence. At the same time, the Belarusian supervisory authority stressed that there is no reason to prevent it.
“The General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Belarus, within the framework of the convention of the CIS member states on the transfer of convicts to prison for re-serving the sentence of March 6, 1998, complied with the request received of Sophia Sapega, sentenced by the sentence of the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Grodno Regional Court to 6 years in prison, the request for her transfer to the Russian Federation to continue serving her sentence”, RIA Novosti quotes a message from the GP.
At the same time, the attorney general’s office added that the damage caused by the injury caused by Sapieha had been fully compensated.
Recall that at the beginning of last month in Belarus, the Russian woman Sofya Sapega was sentenced to six years in prison. The corresponding decision was made by the Grodno Regional Court. The 24-year-old girl was charged under seven articles of the Criminal Code of the Belarusian Republic. It has been reported that the Russian woman, in particular, is accused of inciting social hatred and discord, illegal actions regarding information about private life and personal data.
