“The video was awful.” The British Prime Minister commented on the video with the beheading, presumably, of the Ukrainian army

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed a video that surfaced on the web, which allegedly depicted the beheading of a Ukrainian soldier. This was reported in the office of the head of the British government, writing Independent.

“The Prime Minister said the video was horrifying and those responsible must be held accountable,” the statement read.

In turn, Zelenskyy tweeted that he thanked Sunak for “condemning the inhumane execution of a soldier.”

Downing Street said the telephone conversation took place on the morning of April 14. Sunak and Zelenskyy, in particular, discussed the situation in the war zone in Ukraine. The office statement said Sunak “paid tribute to the efforts of Ukrainian troops in Bakhmut.”

One of the topics of conversation was also military support for Ukraine by Western countries. “The Prime Minister said the UK and its allies must continue to ensure Ukraine is in the strongest position and builds on its recent battlefield successes,” the door concluded. -word.

On April 11, Russian pro-military telegraph channels broadcast a video showing the beheading of a living man in camouflage, presumably a Ukrainian prisoner. The location, time of the shooting and the names of the people in the frame are unknown. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the footage of the beheading “terrible”, indicating the need to verify its authenticity. On April 13, Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office announced that it had organized an investigation into the relevant social media posts.

Zelenskyy, commenting on the video of the beheading, said “responsibility will come for everything”. “We won’t forget anything. We are not going to forgive the killers,” he assured.
