Toxic smoke will come from a burning factory in the United States for several more days

The fire broke out on Wednesday, after a fire at the factory. The fire began to melt plastic, which when heated releases toxic substances.

Mayor Dave Snow says My Way Trading, which previously owned the plant, is fully liable for the damage. To compensate for the environmental damage, part of the plant’s ownership passed into the hands of the city, according to CNN.

Residents of the area were evacuated. A nature damage assessment will be given by employees of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources Environmental Agency.

The fire could hamper oil supplies by isolating the region from other markets.
