The Murmansk region will continue funding the renovation activities of ZATOs in the Kola Arctic. 422 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes. Read more in the material “The Eastern Herald in Murmansk”.

The funds are allocated under the Arctic “one-time grant”. Their amount will be 300 million rubles. Such a plan, proposed by regional authorities, was approved by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Trutnev at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Commission for Arctic Development. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Information Policy of the Murmansk region.

Regional leader Andrey Chibis focused on developing housing and social infrastructure in settlements where military units are located. This direction of development is essential for the Arctic.

The governor also noted that another 122 million rubles will be added to the 300 million rubles. This money will be allocated from the regional budget. They will be needed for the third stage of the ZATO renovation. Among the activities: the renovation of apartments, the redesign of the roofs and facades of apartment buildings and social facilities.

The specified set of measures for the development of social and engineering infrastructure of closed administrative territorial formations of the Murmansk region and settlements of the Murmansk region with the deployment of military formations. Among them were ATO Aleksandrovsk, ZATO Vidyaevo, Kilpyavr settlement, ZATO Zaozersk and Pechenga district, the relevant department said.

For these purposes, funds have already been allocated from the federal budget, thanks to which the ZATOs have received certain urban infrastructure facilities.
