World’s number one T20 batsman Suryakumar Yadav has not been scoring runs for some time now. The Mumbai Indians batsman, who scored just 15, one and zero in three innings of the Indian Premier League (IPL), did a lot of batting practice before the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Sunday.
Prior to the IPL, he was dismissed without opening the account on the first ball in all three matches of the ODI series against Australia in March. On Saturday, the right-handed batsman spent a long net session practicing against the throwdown specialists in the Mumbai Indians camp. However, during this time he was not seen in his familiar rhythm.
Some of Suryakumar’s shots were falling inside the boundary line while Cameron Green, who was batting next to him in the other net, easily sent the ball into the stands.
Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma, head coach Mark Boucher and batting coach Kieron Pollard also attended the net session and were seen encouraging the batsman.
