The Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili, said that one verse of the Holy Qur’an, if applied, would solve all the problems of the world, and there would be no hungry person on the surface of the earth.

In a television interview, excerpts from which were quoted by Omani media, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al-Khalili explained, saying: God Almighty says: "Righteousness is not that you turn your faces towards the East and the West, but righteousness is he who believes in God and the Last Day and the angels, the Books and the Prophets".

Al-Khalili pointed out that the verse solves, at its beginning, the problem of belief and thought, which are the most important problems, then the economic problem is solved, by the Almighty saying: "And money came on his love to relatives, orphans, the needy, the wayfarer, the beggars, and in the necks".

added: "Of course, these are rights other than zakat, because after that the zakat was mentioned in the Almighty’s saying: " "He performed the prayer and paid the zakat"Then came the rest of the other directives, saying: "And those who fulfill their promise when they make a covenant, and those who are patient in good times and bad, and when they fight, those are the ones who are truthful, and those are the ones who are righteous.".

Sheikh Al-Khalili said that if this verse is applied in the world, there will be no hungry person on the surface of the earth.
