recent Over the years, China has been recognized as the fastest growing economy in the world. Along with economic development, social changes can also be easily seen in present-day China. Some new classes have emerged, the most important of which are private entrepreneurs, whose prominence is also considerable in the Communist Party of China. The rise of the middle class in China has also been important. The peasantry in China was no longer a homogeneous class. It is divided into migrant and other sections. The growth of consumerism culture, especially in the cities, has happened very fast. In today’s date, all the famous fashion brands of western countries are available in China but, here this question also comes to mind that how did all this happen? How this Asian country made its mark at the international level? No other country has been able to develop so fast?
Let’s try to know –
Since China began opening up and reforming its economy in 1978, GDP growth has averaged 9 percent per year, and more than 800 million people have lifted themselves out of poverty. There have also been significant improvements in access to health, education and other services over the same period. Since China’s reform and opening-up, the Chinese people, under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, with their diligence and wisdom, have made remarkable achievements in the development of the country. For several decades, China’s rapid development has provided the impetus and significant opportunities for continued growth for countless countries, including the United States. Here it becomes important to understand that the development of any country is possible only when it depends on itself, and minimizes its dependence on others, this is the “Gurumantra” of China’s development. This is even more important for a country like China with a huge population of 1.4 billion, and China not only recognized it in time but also used the unlimited power of its population in the right place, as a result of which today China is on its own in the front row on the world stage. But stands firm.
It is not at all that China’s road to development was easy. You will remember that in the beginning of the 90s, the United States not only imposed economic sanctions on China on a large scale, but also prevented China from making agreements with tariffs and trade normal, not only this, China’s position in the World Trade Organization (WTO) also Created all the difficulties in admission. Many such sanctions have been imposed on China by the US in recent times as well, but it is obvious that despite facing many difficulties on the path of openness and development, China has made remarkable achievements.
The biggest contribution in the progress of a country is made by its own people, but the leadership of the country also plays a very important role in it. It is said that “without the right direction, the situation cannot improve”. In this episode, the most important leader of China, President Xi Jinping, comes to the fore. A new era of economic reforms has begun during the tenure of President Xi Jinping. At the same time, the Chinese government has emphasized on inclusive development to remove inequality and rural problems. President Xi who, being the head of the CPC, has continuously promoted reform and opening-up and struggled for development with his diligence and wisdom. However, great achievements are achieved through lofty leadership, ethics and enormous courage. China’s economic achievements have come from China’s self-confidence and President Xi’s inspiration.
So if the list of achievements is made then it will be very long but some of the achievements which touch the heart are some of them:
China has successfully ended absolute poverty
As a large country, China has successfully eliminated absolute poverty. It is a classic example of national governance when seen around the world. This is an achievement of China, and more importantly, how China achieved it, which is worth learning from for political parties and governments of other countries.
Relations between the European market and developing countries
One of the greatest achievements of Chinese President Xi Jinping is that he has launched the Belt and Road Initiative, which is honest, pragmatic, mutually beneficial and win-win. This initiative solves many problems faced by the economic development of the regional countries and is related to the well-being of the people of these countries. The ‘Belt and Road’ initiative will bring closer ties between the European market and the Chinese market. In addition, the economic and trade cooperation between the Middle East and China, as a hub connecting Europe and Asia, is also deepening. Chinese President Xi Jinping once said, openness leads to progress while reclusiveness leads to regress. Indeed, China cannot be isolated from the world and the world needs China for global prosperity. This is also one of the valuable inspirations that China’s reform and opening up has given to the world.
China’s economic development is really no less than a miracle. China has become the world’s second largest economy, a major growth engine for the world, on its own, through its hard work and its efficient leadership.
