Russian Ambassador to Sudan Andrey Chernovol said Russians have been advised to stay at home and not go to windows due to clashes between the military and the Rapid Reaction Forces (RRF). It is reported by TASS.
Moscow expects the confrontation in Sudan to move from the armed phase to negotiations in the next few hours, the ambassador said.
“There are no reports of casualties among Russian citizens. (…) All employees (of the diplomatic mission) and Russian citizens are asked to stay at home,” Chernovol said.
On the morning of April 15, direct armed clashes took place between the Armed Forces of the Republic of the Sudan and the Rapid Reaction Forces (RRF) in Khartoum and the town of Merov.
