Sirius and Sochi law enforcement jointly arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of drug distribution. Investigators say the man was selling illegal substances through bookmarks.
Federal Territory and Resort Drug Control employees searched the hotel room in which the alleged assailant lived. There, law enforcement found three bags of powder.
The examination concluded that two of the three packages contained more than 1.3 kg of mephedrone. The last packet contained more than 100 grams of amphetamine, the Home Office’s press service reported for FT Sirius. According to department officials, law enforcement officers found photographs of bookmarks in the suspect’s phone.
A case was opened against the detainee under part 5 of article 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The man faces life imprisonment.
