For Russians, Sochi remains one of the most popular travel destinations. But not everyone returns from the station happy. Tourists have named eight main drawbacks of this vacation destination, reports the blog “Tourism Subtleties”.
Among the first criticisms, there is the crampedness of the airport. In high season there is nowhere to sit – there just aren’t enough places to wait for your flight.
Pebble beaches, which are almost everywhere in Sochi, few people are delighted. Not everyone will be able to lie on a towel when there are heterogeneous stones under their backs. Yes, and walking to the water on pebbles is inconvenient, and not everyone wants to wear swimming shoes every time.
However, it was inherited from travelers not only by land, but also by sea. Murky water filled with jellyfish, rotavirus bacteria, and sometimes sewage appears in many negative reviews of tourists who have visited Sochi.
Crazy prices are also among the negative points directed at the popular Russian resort. And the tours themselves are unreasonably expensive here, according to visitors, and services related to the rest: sunbeds, water activities, outings to cafes, etc. And the gap between price and quality in Sochi is too striking. For the same price you can go to Turkey, where the level of service will be much better.
Unreliable owners significantly contribute to the downgrading of the Black Sea resort. Owners can rent a room booked by one tourist to another for a lot of money, raise the price upon arrival, display photos of places that are far from reality, or even take the traveler to the wrong house. which he chose in advance.
The rudeness of the locals also amazes visitors. Many residents of Sochi do not hesitate to “prick” and can start a scandal after a fair remark, shouting sending the guest back where he came from.
Stray dog packs are one of the resort’s serious problems. In particular, there are many packs in the private sector.
Another statement from tourists sounds like this: “It’s not all about the people.” There is both beauty and entertainment in Sochi, but the infrastructure does not seem designed for travelers. The narrow sidewalks are crowded with cars, there are almost no parking lots, regular interruptions of electricity and water, there are no paths to many beaches, and the changing rooms on the shore seem older than many vacationers. The principle “and so on” in Sochi is practiced in many areas, tourists think.
