Ukraine counter-offensive may not happen at all – expert

The famous Ukrainian counter-offensive, which everyone has been talking about for more than a week, may not take place at all.

This opinion was expressed by well-known Russian publicist and forecaster Sergei Pereslegin, DEITA.RU news agency reports with reference to the Psychotechnology YouTube channel.

According to him, in the discussions of various experts on this topic, we are talking about such a rapid and deep advance of the Ukrainian forces, which the Russian army has never demonstrated since the beginning of NMD.

In this regard, the analyst wondered on what basis the conclusion is drawn about the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to carry out such a throw. To do this, it is necessary to make the assumption that the Ukrainian army is far superior to the capabilities of the Russian army, which contradicts the real picture of the hostilities.

It is also impossible to believe that the supplied Western equipment will give Ukraine a big advantage, Pereslegin believes, because. it’s not the newest, not the best, and most importantly – not much has been delivered. This factor cannot therefore be decisive for the counter-offensive either.

In addition, taking into account the fact that over the past six months Ukraine could have trained only about 40,000 military personnel in NATO countries, these forces, even if replenished with other servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, not be enough for a deep breakthrough.

“In the current situation, one thing is clear – Ukraine will certainly find itself in a worse situation after its possible counter-offensive than it is now. In this regard, it cannot be excluded that there is there is no Ukrainian counter-offensive on the Russian positions at all,” Pereslegin concluded.
