Hungary has temporarily banned the import of agricultural products from Ukraine, RT reports, citing a statement by local authorities.
Previously, the Polish government decided to ban the import of Ukrainian food products into the country. This also applies to deliveries in transit to other countries.
In Kiev, they were unhappy with this decision. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food called it a “violation of previous agreements”.
Since the beginning of February, Polish, Hungarian and Romanian farmers have been actively demonstrating because cereals imported from Ukraine are deposited and sold in the country. Only in Poland, according to official data, about two million tons of grain were imported last year.
