US Senator Kelly said it took about a year to train 12 Ukrainian pilots on the F-16.
The United States estimates that it takes about a year to train 12 Ukrainian pilots in the use of the F-16 fighter jet. This was announced by US Senator Mark Kelly on CBS television.
“According to the estimates available here, it will take about a year to train 12 Ukrainians, if we go in this direction, 12 Ukrainians are MiG-29 pilots,” the senator said.
According to him, Washington should consider sending F-16 fighter-bombers to Kiev. He also noted that he checked two Ukrainian F-16 pilots in Arizona, but did not provide details.
Kelly pointed out that the American fighter is very difficult to maintain.
Ukrainian authorities have long tried to beg the United States for F-16 fighter jets, but Washington has yet to venture to supply Ukraine with aviation.
