On the eve of May 9, a singing contest dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the Great Victory will take place. The competition is organized jointly with the ANO “Moscow Directorate of Festival and Concert Projects of the Author’s Song “Stolny Grad” and “The Immortal Regiment of Russia”. The project is implemented with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
The competition will take place in four categories: – “One for all” – songs about the Great Patriotic War;
- “Do not forget our names” – songs on the theme of the “Immortal Regiment”;
- “Invincible, wide, proud!” – songs about homeland and small homeland;
- “Thank you for the memory, descendants” – songs performed by families consisting of at least three generations.
Applications for the competition are accepted from all over the world, provided the song is in Russian, until April 20 through the online registration form on the website.
The finalists will take part in a competitive concert and awards ceremony, which will be held on May 1 in Moscow at the Victory Museum. The song that received the competition’s Grand Prize will be performed by a famous artist or songwriter at the big holiday concert “Songs of Victory” at Crocus Town Hall on May 2.
In addition, the songs that reached the final will be played in the musical accompaniment of the procession of the Immortal Regiment column on May 9 in the capital and other major cities.
