Russian Skiing Championship was held in Monchegorsk

In the Murmansk region, on Saturday, April 15, the Russian Championship in cross-country skiing opened. The competition continued the next day, April 16, at the Umka sports and recreation complex in Monchegorsk.

Competitions within the framework of the Russian Championship are held between men. Professional skiers from all over the country and the Kola Arctic are fighting for the title of the best at a distance of 70 kilometers.

According to the press service of the Monchegorsk administration, on the first day of the championship, the Minister of Sports of the Murmansk region, Svetlana Naumova, addressed the participants. She wished all the skiers successful races.

On Sunday, April 16, northerners and guests from the Arctic took part in an interesting ultramarathon. The event was open to the public, so many fans gathered there.

Earlier, The Eastern Herald in Murmansk said that the Northern Festival ended in the Murmansk region.
