A special fire regime has been in effect in the Nizhny Novgorod region since April 17

A special fire regime has been established in 20 district forests of the Nizhny Novgorod region since April 17. In 15 other forest holdings, it will start operating from April 24. This was reported in the regional government.

According to the government decree, a special regime will be introduced in the territory from April 17, 2023 in the territories of Arzamas, Buturlinsky, Vyksunsky, Balakhninsky, Vashsky, Bogorodsky, Kstovsky, Lyskovsky, Voznesensky, Kulebaksky, Dalnekonstantinovsky, Pavlovsky, Mukhtolovsky, Sergachsky, Navashinsky, Sosnovsky, Pervomaisky, Pochinkovsky, Shatkovsky, Razinsky forests.

And from April 24, 2023, the fire regime will begin to operate on the territory of the forest fund lands of Borsky, Vetluzhsky, Koverninsky, Gorodetsky, Varnavinsky, Krasnobakovsky, Voskresensky, Sokolsky, Mikhailovsky, Semenovsky, Pizhemsky, Tonkinsky, Sharangsky, Shakhunsky, Urensky Forests.

During the fire season, all forest users must strictly observe forest fire safety rules.

Violation of fire safety rules in forests threatens with a fine in the amount of 15,000-30,000 rubles for individuals; from 30,000 to 50,000 for officials, from 100 to 400,000 rubles for legal entities.

And for the destruction or damage of forests and other plantations as a result of careless handling of fire, criminal liability is provided.
