The Kostroma Department of Culture informs that in the city of Kologriv, which bears the title of “Goose Capital” of Russia, the All-Russian Open Air “Rus Kologrivskaya” is currently taking place. It is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of the famous compatriot of the Kologrivtsy – the artist “king of watercolors” Gennady Ladyzhensky.

Painters from Penza, Uglich, Yaroslavl, Moscow and Kostroma came to Kologriv to participate in the open air. In the next few days they will paint dozens of canvases, which will reflect the beauty of the hinterland of Kostroma.

As the artistic director of the outdoors, Honored Artist of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Irina Rybakova noted, the province of Kologriv is a city of extraordinary beauty, an ideal place for painting. photo by Irina Rybakova

The outdoor participants themselves say they were especially lucky to have attended the Easter celebration and were able to convey the bright holiday atmosphere on their canvases.

The All-Russian open air “Rus Kologrivskaya” will end on April 21 with a large art exhibition, which will open at the local art school.
