FFKKR Acting President Anton Sikharulidze spoke about the return of Russian figure skaters to international competitions.
“The IOC has expressed its position on the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes. Some international federations already allow Russian athletes. I think we should actively cooperate with the ISU on this issue and seek the participation of our skaters in international competitions. Also, there are precedents – fencing, chess, triathlon, wrestling, tennis,” he said.
In addition, Sikharulidze said that many ISU representatives say it’s time for Russian athletes to participate – without them the competition is completely different.
