On April 16, the Tver Drama Theater hosted a performance of the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the famous conductor, People’s Artist and Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation Valery Gergiev. The event was timed to coincide with the XXII Moscow Easter Festival.
Governor Igor Rudenya addressed his welcoming speech to those present at the concert. In his message, the head of the region drew attention to the fact that in 2023 the Tver region will be the first of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to meet the Easter Festival.

– The festival not only gives an encounter with the works of outstanding composers performed by world-class musicians, but also continues the wonderful educational and charitable traditions, unites the participants with the power of high art, moral and patriotic values, strengthens in the hearts of people have faith in the triumph of goodness, truth and justice, – said Igor Rudenya.
Famous Russian and foreign works were performed at the concert. Conductor Valery Gergiev expressed hope that the next meeting with the Tver region is not far away. According to him, the performance of the Mariinsky Theater in the Tver Drama Theater is the continuation of the friendship that was born many years ago.
In 2023, the Moscow Easter Festival will take place from April 16 to May 9. During this period, the musicians will visit more than 30 cities of our country.
