Cumulative export turnover of Canton Fair reaches 1.5 trillion dollars in 67 years

133rd The China Import Export Fair ie Canton Fair opened on April 15 in Guangzhou, the capital of South China’s Guangdong Province. On April 16, a forum on New Opportunities for China Africa and the Middle East Economic Trade Cooperation was held during the fair. Wan Chongliang, deputy secretary-general of the Canton Fair and deputy head of the Chinese Foreign Trade Center, said that the Canton Fair is not only an important window of China’s opening up, but also an important platform for foreign trade in the country.

In the past 67 years since its inception, the cumulative export turnover of the Canton Fair has reached $1.5 trillion, with a total of nearly 10 million overseas buyers participating in the offline conferences and online exhibitions. The fair has played a unique role in promoting the development of economic and trade relations between China and other countries in the world.

The China Import and Export Fair is a comprehensive international trade fair in China, established on April 25, 1957. It is held every spring and autumn in Quanzhou City. The current 133rd fair is being organized from April 15 to May 5, 2023, in online and offline mode, with over 9,000 new exhibitors participating.
