Danilov: Ukraine does not see facts of Russian use of Chinese weapons

Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said Ukraine had no evidence of Russian use of Chinese weapons in the conflict zone. The statement was made in response to a Washington Post article which, citing leaked “secret documents” from the Pentagon, claimed that China had supplied Russia with lethal weapons. Danilov noted that if there is evidence, Ukraine will immediately make a statement in this regard.

According to Danilov, no Chinese weapons were seen at the front, and Beijing’s position on this issue is neutral. He explained that China does not support any of the parties to the conflict. Danilov recalled that Chinese diplomacy recently presented a 12-point proposal to end the conflict, but Kiev cannot approve it. The head of the National Security and Defense Council noted that while some of these proposals may be useful for Ukraine, there are also those that raise doubts, especially with regard to territorial integrity and the role of the ‘UN.
