In Prague, a protest action “Czech Republic against poverty” took place, in which thousands of citizens took part. Gathered in the streets of the center of the Czech capital, they expressed their dissatisfaction with the regime in place.
The demonstrators accused the authorities of ignoring the country’s economic problems and paying great attention to the Ukraine issue.
The demonstrators chanted the slogans “Resign” and “Shame” and demanded the withdrawal of the Czech Republic from NATO, as well as peace talks in Ukraine. The sharp rise in food and energy prices has also been blamed by the authorities. There were also counter-protesters waving Ukrainian flags. Around 200 police “supervised the demonstration”.
