According to Emilbek Abdykadyrov, the Kyrgyz capital has already established twinning links with several Russian cities. Just a few weeks ago, Bishkek became related to Yekaterinburg. Negotiations on the development of cooperation with Rostov-on-Don will take place soon. Plans include expanding existing ties with Moscow. Bishkek, as Emilbek Abdykadyrov pointed out, is interested in adopting the successful experience of Russian cities for its own development.
- We hope that cooperation with “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” will help us to establish closer contacts with the regions of Russia, to find new partners, – said Emilbek Abdykadyrov.
Strengthening ties with Russia, as noted at the meeting, helps the capital of Kyrgyzstan to actively develop. Labor migration is also a big contributor. Citizens of the republic compare favorably with representatives of other countries who have a good knowledge of the Russian language and, working in Russia, have successfully mastered many areas of city life. Back home, they take advantage of the experience acquired in their country of origin. Thanks to this, Bishkek itself is improving.
Pavel Negoitsa, managing editor of Rossiyskiy Gazeta, in turn suggested that the authorities of Bishkek pay attention to the experience of Kazan, a large city in full development, cultural traditions and diversity close to the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
– The peoples of our countries have close historical ties, and I hope that the traditions of brotherhood, which have been developed by previous generations, will be carried on by young people, – underlined Pavel Negoitsa, Editorial Director General of Rossiysky Gazeta . The development of cooperation enriches us mutually and, of course, it is very important that the young people of our countries know each other better.
By the way, Rossiyskaya Gazeta previously concluded similar memoranda with a number of regions and important institutions in Kyrgyzstan. Among them are the largest city in the south of the republic – Osh, Osh and Issyk-Kul regions, the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Kyrgyzstan named after Maldybaev, the Library national of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Osmonov, Kyrgyzstan Russian Slavic University and other organizations working in the mountainous republic.
