The abandoned Vladimir temple has become a monument of history and culture

According to the Inspectorate for the State Protection of Cultural Heritage of the 33rd region, the Church of the Assumption in the village of Shulgino, Selivanovskiy district, received the status of a monument of cultural heritage of regional significance.

The church was built at the very beginning of the 19th century. It was erected by landowner Muromtsev with his own money. And before that, there was also a church in the same place, but made of wood – it had to be dismantled.

At the end of the last century, the priest Vasily Landyshev served in the temple, which set up an impromptu school for local children of peasant families in his home. And he taught them for nothing.

But almost a hundred years ago, a lock hung on the temple…
