The decision was taken on April 18 at a meeting of the Tver region government chaired by Governor Igor Rudeni.
“It’s an important program, especially for small businesses working in the field. We believe it should be increased not only in terms of money, but also in terms of geography of advancement in the region. This task has been entrusted to the Ministry of Agriculture. Together with the heads of municipalities, we will analyze how this program can be supplemented to make it more popular,” said Igor Rudenya, commenting on the topic to journalists after the regional government meeting.
The maximum amount of a subsidy to cover the costs of implementing a project for the creation and (or) development of a cattle farm has been increased from 5 million rubles to 7 million rubles (but no more than 90% of the costs). In other areas – from 3 million rubles to 5 million rubles (but no more than 90% of the costs).
Funds can be used for the acquisition, repair, construction of production and storage facilities necessary for the production, processing and storage of products, as well as for the acquisition of plots from the composition of agricultural land, agricultural machinery and animals.
Beneficiaries of the subsidy can be peasant households (farmers) registered for a maximum of 12 months from the date of application, or individuals, subject to registration of a peasant farm in case of receipt of a subsidy .
From 2022, grants from the Agrostartup program are available not only to dairy and beef cattle farms, but also to entrepreneurs in other areas of agriculture (beekeeping, poultry farming, market gardening, potatoes, etc.).
In 2020-2022, agricultural producers in the Tver region received 33 Agrostartup grants totaling 117.5 million rubles. This year it is planned to provide 7 grants.
