The Kostroma department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informs about the tragedy that occurred tonight in Galich. There, at the beginning of the seventh morning, a building on Svoboda Street caught fire.
Firefighters from the Galich garrison arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire after about an hour.
According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations, the material damage caused by the fire was not very significant – a room of 20 square meters burned in one of the apartments. meters. But unfortunately! – during the examination of the place of the fire, the rescuers found in this room the body of a 62-year-old woman who lived in this apartment. Apparently the fire started while she was sleeping and the retiree choked on the smoke.
