Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

An expert from Stavropol RANEPA spoke about the development of the transport and logistics complex in Russia

The development of the transport and logistics complex of Russia is one of the priority areas, which today is under the control of the government of the country and, of course, plays an important role in improving the quality of life Population. The development of urban transport, regional transport infrastructure, the development of personnel for transport and logistics – all these are components of the national project initiated by the Ministry of Transport “Development of human resource potential of Russian industry transport” until 2035.

First, attention should be paid to the formation of urban transport infrastructure and the provision of high-quality urban transport. In 2023-2024 Stavropol and Pyatigorsk plan to purchase trams and trolleybuses, which will have a direct impact on the quality of transport services provided to the population.

The Commission of the Federal Assembly approved the distribution of about 86.5 billion rubles at the regional level with a plan for their implementation until 2025. The structure of this financial expenditure also includes the formation of urban infrastructure , namely: the improvement of territories, the lighting of transport routes, the purchase of electric buses, the reconstruction of tram tracks, and much more. Federal support is essential on this file.

Second, it is necessary to train and support internal logistics and the movement of heavy goods vehicles within the country. For heavy transport, logistics has radically changed its vectors, and it has become necessary to properly formulate new methods and ways of getting goods from producer to consumer.

Thirdly, one of the main priority areas, in our opinion, today is associated with the organization of so-called “consortia” of scientific and educational institutions ready to take on the development of educational programs and platforms for the formation of “cluster” specialists of the transport and logistics industry (from drivers to heads of transport companies) with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation. The formation of such consortia will increase the number of budgetary places in specialized universities and, therefore, will improve the quality of training of typical specialists, ”comments Alexander Kalashnikov, associate professor of the Stavropol branch of the Presidential Academy.
