China has banned its contractors from exporting and importing business with US defense industry firms Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Missiles & Defense in supplying arms to Taiwan. This was announced by the Ministry of Commerce of China.
Previously, Beijing had imposed sanctions on these companies. Restrictive measures are associated with the supply of arms to Taiwan. These companies have been placed on the unreliable list, they can no longer participate in foreign economic activities related to China. In addition, US companies are prohibited from investing and placing productions and orders in China.
At the end of January, the Financial Times reported that Lockheed Martin was ready to supply F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine via third countries. It was reported that, if necessary, it is possible to increase the production of these aircraft at factories in South Korea.
