Tokyo: Top diplomats of G7 countries on Tuesday welcomed the initiative by Iran and Saudi Arabia to improve mutual relations. In a collective statement issued after their meeting in Karuizawa, Japan, the G7 foreign ministers said, “We welcome initiatives between the countries to improve bilateral relations and reduce tensions in the region, including the recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
