Employees of “Yaroslavlstat” summarized the results of monitoring food prices in Yaroslavl. And they came to disappointing conclusions. The price of “borscht” in Yaroslavl and the Yaroslavl region has increased.
Experts attribute this phenomenon to the onset of spring. Vegetables grown in central Russia are running out in warehouses. And potatoes, onions, carrots or cabbage brought from abroad or from southern regions are more expensive than local products. Admittedly, relatively little. Onions have jumped in price the most – in just a month and a half, their price has doubled. The price of cabbage has increased by 30%. Potatoes and carrots – by 10%.
Pork has not risen in price at all. Chicken and semi-finished poultry products – a little cheaper. Eggs, sugar, cereals, vegetable oil are gradually falling in price. Dairy products are on the rise. Prices for cucumbers and tomatoes fell seriously after the March jump. Apparently the greenhouses have begun to provide a new crop.
